OK, it's wonderful to have strategies in place.  At the end of the day, though, unless they are implemented properly they remain nothing more than a set of thick documents gathering lots of dust somewhere. And this is where sensible, "no bull" project management comes into play.  Implementing fully (or partially) an architecture across the enterprise is not an easy task and is as much science as it is an art form.

Why some projects are extremely successful, while others are extraordinarily unsuccessful (to put it mildly) and result in enormous amounts of wasted funds, opportunities and labour? Here, at Meta Business Systems we believe that it all comes down to how project management is viewed.

Traditionally, project management is seen as a collection of tasks, resources, milestones and deliverables.  While this is absolutely true, there is one more ingredient that  is not given the full attention it deserves - communication. Communication is the "glue" that bonds all other elements together and creates a successful project.  Why?  Because it takes into the equation the most important factor of all - the human factor.
